Marianne Thieme, Former Member of Parliament, Sustainability Strategist and Publicist
Marianne is an animal rights activist, jurist, publicist, theologian, and co-founder of the Dutch Party for the Animals (PvdD). From 2006 to 2019, she served as leader for Party for the Animals in the House of Representatives. She wrote several books and made documentaries on animal rights and environmental protection. Currently, she’s director of the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation, the scientific bureau of the party of the animals and a member of the supervisory board of Greenpeace.
